Over the next three years, Creative Taupō will focus on:

Growing Community Access

• Launching a dedicated arts and culture website (this one!) to showcase events, artists, and resources.
• Delivering outreach activities including mobile exhibitions, open studios, and artist talks.
• Creating stronger relationships with creatives in Tūrangi, Mangakino, and beyond.

Professional Development

• Hosting workshops on digital skills, funding, and business for creatives.
• Providing scholarships and internships for emerging artists and arts leaders.
• Advocating for better access to funding and resources.

Arts Spaces and Infrastructure

• Conducting a full audit of existing creative spaces across the district.
• Investigating mobile and short-term solutions (like a container gallery).
• Exploring the potential for a Taupō Music and Arts Hub in partnership with local creatives and council.
