Kate Spriggs kicked off the Creative Taupō season of youth buskers at the Tongariro South Domain on Saturday, July 4.
The buskers are a late ‘surprise and delight’ addition to the Taupō Winter Festival programme, playing under the marquee on the domain.
Kate’s hour-long slot will be followed by Nina Walker at 6pm on Friday, July 10 and Lydia Curtis also at 6pm on Thursday, July 16.
Buskers can keep whatever they make in donations and Kate was happy with her first busking earnings.
