The Taupō Youth Strings Orchestra is run through the Taupō School of Music and is open to students of all ages playing stringed instruments, including violin and cello. Since forming in 2025, it has performed at a number of events, including the annual Youth Strings Collab and the Midday Concert Series. The orchestra provides valuable ensemble experience for strings players keen to play and learn together as a group.
