Taupō Youth Windband

The Taupō Youth Windband is run through the Taupō School of Music and is open free to both students learning through the school and secondary school students playing brass, reed, and percussion instruments as well as bass guitar. It has played at local schools, rest homes, during the monthly Midday Concert series as well as at outdoor venues around Taupō. The band provides valuable ensemble experience for youth instrumentalists with some of its members most years going on to study music full time at tertiary level.
