The October Midday Concert will be another mid-evening affair with Taupō Brass promising some good old toe tappers as well as a chance for audience participation.

Conductor Mike Martin says the brass ensemble will play a mix of popular well-known arrangements that should get the audience warmed up to then join in with some war time singalong pieces.

Favourites like ‘Puttin on the Ritz’, ‘Colonel Bogey’, ‘Edelweiss’ and ‘You’ve got a friend in me’ will be given the Taupō Brass treatment alongside numbers that many will know the words to like ‘Oom Pah Pah’, ‘It’s a long way to Tipperary’, ‘Pack up your troubles’, ‘Bless em all’ and  ‘Now is the hour’.

The hour-long concert on Friday, October 10 runs from 7-8pm at St Andrew’s Anglican Church on Tītīraupenga Street, $10 – cash only entry.
