Xtend, a Taupō voluntary group which co-ordinates opportunities such as art and dance for young people with intellectual disabilities, is holding an exhibition of artwork created by its participants.
Organisers Wendy O’Callaghan and Angela Longhorn believe the exhibition will be a marvellous showcase for Extend’s lived experience community as well as for local creative people to enjoy.
They say the exhibition gives the young artists the opportunity to proudly share their creativity and achievements with their families, friends and the wider community, including Taupō Active Arts where the group meets on Thursdays.
The Xtend Exhibition is from 3-6pm at Active Arts Redoubt Street, Taupō on Thursday, November 26.
